Schedule: 8:30 AM – 7:00 PM, day shift; approximately 2-4 call shifts every 4 weeks; weekend on-call 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM
Highlights:
- 13-week contract assignment in a well-established 18-bed outpatient surgery unit
- Diverse procedural experience including pre- and post-op care for endoscopy, general surgery, GI, orthopedics, urology, spine, gynecology, breast oncology/reconstruction, podiatry, cardioversions, heart catheterizations, interventional radiology procedures, and bronchoscopies
- Patient ratio of 1:4 with a collaborative team of experienced full-time RNs
- EMR system: Meditech
- Supportive, team-oriented nursing staff with extensive tenure and experience
- Opportunity to work independently during on-call shifts while being part of a strong day shift team
Requirements:
- Current RN licensure in Texas (or compact state license)
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
- Pre-op and post-op nursing experience required
- ACLS certification required
- Hospital nursing experience strongly preferred
- Strong critical thinking skills and ability to work well under pressure
- Flexibility with scheduling and call requirements
