The ideal candidate will manage patient care in a fast-paced environment. The position requires knowledge of arterial line management, dysrhythmia recognition, and blood product administration. You will be responsible for the care of ventilated patients, conscious sedation, and post-epidural management. Candidates should be familiar with pain assessment and management, including the use of PCA pumps. You will provide pre-op education and pre-op assessments while ensuring the comfort and safety of patients post-operatively. The ability to interpret and communicate lab values is essential. This role involves collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care. You will be required to maintain IVs and perform straight urinary catheterizations for patients as necessary. Experience with a variety of surgical procedures, including urology, general surgery, gynecology, and orthopedics, is preferred. Candidates must demonstrate effective communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care. Minimal weekend call shifts may be required based on departmental needs. The schedule will include varied days off each week, depending on staffing requirements.
