Description:
We are seeking a Registered Nurse specializing in PACU for a critical care setting.
The unit has a total of 14 beds, with a patient ratio of 2:1.
Staffing is comprised solely of RNs, with no unit secretaries or tech availability.
The types of equipment include Phillips monitors.
The documentation system utilized is Meditech.
Scheduling options include 3/12 or 4/9 shifts.
Minimal floating may be required.
Candidates must have previous PACU experience and at least 1 year of ICU experience.
Advanced skills necessary include management of post-operative craniotomies, spine surgeries, thoracotomies, general GI/GU, vascular, and bariatric procedures.
Additional competencies in ALINE management, chest tube management, and central line management are essential.
No procedures are performed on this unit.
The required dress code is dark-colored scrubs.
Block scheduling is available, with expectation to fulfill one weekend call shift per month.
This is a dynamic unit with advanced equipment and a supportive team environment.
