Description:
This position is in the Adult PACU.
The unit has 18 bays and is staffed by 25 professionals.
Day shift includes 1 CNC, 11 RNs, and 1 PCT.
The night shift currently has 2 RNs on call and is transitioning to 24/7 coverage.
There is a need for night staff.
The role will provide 1 RN in-house while the 2nd RN for night cases will be on call.
Patient ratios are 1:1 for the first 30 minutes or ICU level of care, then 2:1 when stable.
There must be 2 RNs present in the PACU at all times when a patient is present.
The unit uses EMR Meditech Magic for documentation.
Candidates should demonstrate proactive teamwork skills to fit best.
Preferred certifications include CPAN and TCAR.
Typical procedures are performed frequently in the PACU setting.
Weekends and on-call responsibilities are not part of this position.
The schedule will be Sunday to Thursday from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
