PACU experience is required.
Description:
PACU nurses are responsible for the care of patients recovering from anesthesia.
They monitor patients for any complications and provide necessary interventions.
The unit consists of 8 beds plus 1 isolation room.
Patient ratios align with ASPAN standards, which can be 1:1, 1:2, or 2:1.
The patient population includes adults and geriatrics, excluding neonates.
Common diagnoses include post-operative surgical patients, typically under general anesthesia.
Equipment used includes cardiac monitors, IV equipment, SCDs, nasal O2, Omni Cell, and blanket warmers.
Candidates should exhibit a pleasant and positive demeanor, as teamwork is essential.
ICU experience is preferred but not required.
Flexibility in scheduling is necessary, including weekend and call requirements.
Candidates may be asked to assist in other surgical services areas as needed.
Compliance with the dress code policy is expected.
