Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool Registered Nurse

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool Registered Nurse to join our team. This position involves providing nursing care across various pediatric units, including PICU, NICU, pediatric med-surg, pediatric PACU, pediatric ED boarders, and postpartum/mother-baby units.

Key Responsibilities:

• Float to multiple pediatric units as needed and provide high-quality patient care.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
• Participate in clinical reviews as required and fulfill auto-offer conditions.
• Maintain and document patient records accurately using the Epic electronic health record system.

Schedule and Commitment:

• Night shift, 4 x 12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00.
• Work a minimum of 36 or 48 hours per week for 52 weeks.
• Every other weekend and holiday, with the requirement to work 2 out of 3 winter holidays.
• Two weeks of no time off requests (RTO) at the start of the assignment.

Qualifications:

• 2 years of PICU experience is required.
• Previous experience in NICU is necessary.
• Experience in Pediatric PACU is highly preferred.
• Current certifications in BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS are required.
• Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding Certification is required, with the option to submit pending certification (cost applicable).
• Must be comfortable working across different pediatric settings and adhere to float policies.
• Active Virginia nursing license or pending application accepted.
