Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

This is a floating position within the Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool, covering various pediatric units including PICU, NICU, pediatric medical-surgical, pediatric PACU, pediatric ED boarders, and postpartum/mother-baby units.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care across multiple pediatric units.
• Demonstrate expertise in critical care nursing for both PICU and NICU patients.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Adhere to established policies and procedures, including the float policy.
• Participate in ongoing education and training as required.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in PICU.
• Prior experience in NICU is highly preferred.
• BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required.
• Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding Certification is required but can be pending at the time of application (note: certification comes with a cost).
• Epic experience is required.
• Previous experience in a pediatric PACU setting is highly preferred.

Working Schedule

• Night shifts available, working 4x12-hour shifts.
• Options to work 36 or 48 hours per week.
• Scheduled to work every other weekend and every other holiday.
• Flexibility required, as block scheduling cannot be accommodated.
• Time off requests can be approved for up to 40 hours; however, no requests can be approved during the first two weeks of the assignment.

Contract Options

• Assignments available for 13 weeks, 26 weeks, or 52 weeks.
