Job Summary
Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) RN Traveler position in an inpatient pediatric critical care environment. The role involves caring for high-acuity pediatric patients, including those with respiratory support needs, sepsis, traumatic brain injury, and complex surgical conditions. This assignment spans 13 weeks, starting January 12, 2027, through April 17, 2027.
Job Details
- Position Description: RN Traveler for Level Three Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at a healthcare facility
- Required Qualifications: BSN, Colorado RN License, minimum of 2 years of experience as a staff registered nurse in a comparable PICU, experience caring for patients from birth through 21 years of age, experience with respiratory support ranging from nasal cannula to mechanical ventilation, and certifications including AHA BLS and PALS
- Schedule: Rotating Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week
- Additional Information: Experience with trauma, oncology, metabolic disorders, non-accidental trauma, and surgical patients preferred; ability to float within inpatient care areas including critical care units and acute care floors; no float to Emergency Department or Psychiatry; assignment includes no reserved time off during initial two weeks; medical/religious exemptions for flu vaccine allowed
- Submission Requirements: Candidates should demonstrate at least 2 years of PICU staff experience and be comfortable with high-acuity pediatric care, advanced ventilator management, and complex clinical scenarios.
