Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool Registered Nurse

Position Overview

This is a float pool position, providing nursing support across various pediatric units, including the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Pediatric Medical-Surgical, Pediatric Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), Pediatric Emergency Department boarders, and postpartum/mother-baby units.

Work Schedule

• Night shifts available (3x12-hour shifts)
• 36 or 48 hours per week
• Every other weekend and holiday required
• No block scheduling guarantees
• Time off requests approved for 40 hours; restrictions apply during the first 2 weeks of the assignment

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
• NICU experience required; previous float pool experience is a plus
• Experience in Pediatric PACU highly preferred
• BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Dr. Brown’s Infant Driven Feeding Certification required (may be pending, with associated costs)
• Epic experience is mandatory
• Must adhere to established float policies
