Description

American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric ICU RN for a night shift assignment requiring a compact or Oklahoma RN license and prior Level 1 trauma center experience.

Details

• Work in the Pediatric ICU within a hospital setting
• Care for pediatric patients with a range of health problems from simple to complex
• Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours per week)
• CVICU and NICU experience is preferred
• Level 1 trauma center experience required

Requirements

• Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Current PALS certification from the American Heart Association
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Certifications must be issued by AHA only

Additional Information

• Assume responsibility for an assigned group of pediatric ICU patients
• Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed treatments
• Assist physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Monitor physiological data and intervene as needed
• Administer medications and manage IV infusions and blood products
• Communicate care plans with patients and families throughout hospitalization and at discharge
• Delegate tasks to support staff as appropriate
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this position
• Compliance documentation, including background checks and drug screening, must begin immediately upon offer due to strict facility deadlines
• Travelers must be booked at least 4 weeks from time of offer to allow for compliance processing
