Registered Nurse (RN) - NICU & CVICU

This position involves providing professional nursing care in collaboration with a healthcare team, patients, and families. The role aims to promote patient health through the delivery of care appropriate to the age and condition of patients, following documented nursing and medical care plans in accordance with evidence-based practice standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the NICU and CVICU.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Monitor patient conditions and report any changes to the medical team.
  • Educate patients and families about health conditions and treatment plans.
  • Adhere to hospital goals, values, and regulatory standards.

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).
  • Experience in a facility with a Level III or IV NICU is strongly preferred.
  • Experience floating to NICU and CVICU is required.
  • Previous experience in a children's setting is preferred.

Education Requirements:

  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN), Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), or a Diploma in Nursing.

Certification & Licensure:

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Arizona or a compact state with multi-state privileges, or the ability to establish licensure according to Arizona law prior to the start date.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association.
  • Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification is preferred.

Additional Information:

COVID-19 vaccination is recommended but not required. Flu vaccination is required from October through April. Exemption applications for flu vaccination must be approved prior to starting the position. Individuals who are unvaccinated for either flu or COVID-19 will need to sign declination and masking protocol agreements and wear masks throughout the respiratory virus season.

This position requires flexibility to float among multiple locations within the region. Available shifts include days (7 AM - 7 PM) and nights (7 PM - 7 AM), with the specific shift to be determined during the interview process. Please discuss any requested time off during the interview, as only RTO discussed at that time will be pre-approved.
