Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS.
• PICU experience required; NICU experience is listed among the skills.

Floating Requirements

• Must float between Akron Main Campus and the Summa location as needed.
• Travelers float first to acute-care inpatient units, including NICU.
• NICU floating will include support from staff if requested.
• Travelers may also support the Burn Center, which primarily cares for patients who do not require intensive care.
• Float frequency depends on operational needs and cannot be guaranteed.
• Travelers should be comfortable with varied patient ages, diagnoses, and acuity levels.
