Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool. This position involves floating to various pediatric units, including PICU, NICU, pediatric med-surg, pediatric PACU, pediatric ED boarders, and postpartum/mother-baby.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients in multiple clinical settings.
• Ensure compliance with all clinical protocols and standards while floating between units.
• Deliver care in accordance with evidence-based practices and hospital policies.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient management.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in PICU is required.
• Previous experience in NICU or as a float nurse in a pediatric setting is preferred.
• Experience in Pediatric PACU is highly desirable.
• Current certifications: BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS are required.
• Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding Certification is required; candidates may submit with certification pending (associated costs will apply).
• Epic experience is necessary.
• The ability to work every other weekend and holiday is required.
• Must be compliant with the float policy.

Scheduling and Availability:

• This position may require working 36 or 48 hours per week.
• Block scheduling cannot be accommodated.
• Must work 2 out of 3 winter holidays.
• Time off requests can be approved for up to 40 hours, but no requests will be approved during the first 2 weeks of the assignment.
