Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pediatric care and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule Details

Contract Duration: 52 weeks
Shift: Night 4x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)
Every other holiday is required; must work 2 out of the 3 winter holidays
3 weekends during a six-week schedule
Time off may be requested, though approval is limited...
Time off is not approved for the first 2 weeks of the contract

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients in the PICU
Assist with patient assessments, treatment plans, and ongoing care management
Coordinate with medical staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
May be required to float to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Acute Care Pediatrics based on staffing needs

Qualifications

Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certifications
Previous pediatric cardiac experience is a plus
Valid nursing license; can accommodate a pending Virginia nursing license
