Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pediatric care and the ability to provide specialized care to patients aged up to 25 years.

Shift Details

Schedule: Night Shift - 3 shifts per week (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
Must be available to work at least every other holiday

Qualifications

Minimum of 18 months of combined permanent experience in the PICU or related specialty.
A total of at least 18 months of recent pediatric experience; travel experience will be considered.
Experience in epilepsy monitoring and specialized pediatric care.
Must possess a current Ohio nursing license or a compact state license.
Certifications: AHA or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required.
Knowledge of EKG's and inotropes is essential; NIHHS certification preferred.

Orientation Requirements

During orientation, candidates will be required to complete an ECG rhythm recognition test and the SafeMedicate assessment, achieving a satisfactory score on both tests.
