Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool Registered Nurse

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool. In this role, you will have the opportunity to float to various pediatric units, including PICU, NICU, Pediatric MedSurg, Pediatric PACU, Pediatric ED boarders, and Postpartum/Mother Baby units.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients across multiple units.
• Float to PICU, NICU, Pediatric MedSurg, Pediatric PACU, Pediatric ED boarders, and Postpartum/Mother Baby as needed.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient care.
• Adhere to float policies and requirements.

Qualifications

• Must have experience in both Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
• Minimum of 2 years of PICU experience is required.
• Experience in Pediatric PACU is highly preferred.
• Must have current certifications in BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS.
• Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding Certification is required; applicants may submit with this pending (cost applies).
• Must be comfortable working with pediatric patients.
• Epic experience is required.
• Must adhere to the float pool policies.

Schedule Details

• Shift: Night 4x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)
• Work 36 or 48 hours per week.
• Every other weekend and holiday required; must work 2 out of 3 winter holidays.
• No block scheduling can be accommodated or guaranteed.
• Time off must be approved; 40 hours is available, but no requests for time off will be approved during the first 2 weeks of the assignment.
