Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). This role demands a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality care to critically ill children.

Schedule

This position operates under a rotating shift model, allowing for a balance of work schedules. Please note the following:

• Shifts are scheduled as either 3x12 hour night shifts (19:00 - 07:00) or 3x12 hour day shifts (07:00 - 19:00).
• There will be several weeks on one schedule before switching to another.
• No shift rotations will occur within the same week.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered nursing care to a diverse population in the PICU.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop patient care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor patient status and respond to changes in condition.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment options and ongoing care.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of nursing experience, preferably in a PICU or critical care setting.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications are required.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work at least two holidays per year.
• EPIC experience is required with no exceptions.
• Ability to work as a local nurse while maintaining the same rate of compensation.
