PICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). This position requires a commitment to providing high-quality care to critically ill pediatric patients.

Work Schedule

• Shift: Night shifts (3x12 hours, 19:00 - 07:00)
• Duration: 52 weeks
• Every other holiday required, with a mandate to work 2 out of the 3 winter holidays
• Three weekends per six-week schedule
• May be required to float to NICU and Acute Care Pediatrics depending on staffing needs
• Time off approval: Up to 40 hours can be approved; however, time off cannot be approved during the first two weeks of the contract

Qualifications

• Current BLS and PALS certifications are required
• Experience in pediatric cardiac care is a plus
• Virginia license pending applications will be accepted

Key Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse in the PICU will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to critically ill children, collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
