Facility: The Johns Hopkins Hospital – Bloomberg Children’s Center
Unit: Pediatric ICU / Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit
Shift: Rotating 7A/7P
Contract: 13 weeks
Facility Level: Level I — Designated Burn, Trauma, and Eye Center for the State of Maryland
Required
- Current RN License
- BLS
- PALS
- ACLS
- 2 years current Pediatric ICU experience
- At least 1 previous travel assignment
Preferred
- Critical Care Certification
- Trauma Course
- EPIC experience
Patient Population
- Newborn through 21 years
- Patient ratio: 2:1 or 1:1
Clinical Experience
PICU patients may include:
- Respiratory failure
- Metabolic disorders
- Seizure disorders
- Multiorgan failure
- Shock
- Toxic ingestions
- ECMO
- Ventricular assist devices
Surgical Experience
- General surgery
- Cardiac surgery
- Thoracic surgery
- Transplants
- Orthopedic procedures
- Neurologic procedures
Medication / Treatment Experience
- Continuous infusions
- Narcotics
- Vasopressors
- Diuretics
- PN/IL
- IV push medications
- PCA
- PO medications
- GT/JT medications
