As a PICU Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to critically ill children. Your role will involve clinical assessments, administering medications, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct clinical reviews and assessments of pediatric patients in the PICU.
• Provide nursing care and support to children with complex medical conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• May be required to float to NICU and Acute Care Pediatrics based on staffing needs.

Requirements:

• Current RN license in Virginia (or pending approval).
• BLS and PALS certification required.
• Pediatric cardiac experience is a plus.
• Must work 2 out of the 3 winter holidays.
• Availability to work rotating shifts, including weekends.

This contract position is for 52 weeks, with the expectation to work every other holiday and 3 weekends per six-week schedule. Time off can be approved for 40 hours, but not during the first 2 weeks of the contract.
