Shift:Nights, 3x12s — Friday, Saturday & Sunday
Guaranteed Hours:36 hours/week
EMR:Epic — required
Floating:Required — may float to NICU, General Pediatrics, and ED patient holds as a helping hand
- NICU float would involve lower-acuity patients such as “feeders and growers,” rather than the sickest infants
Experience:24 months PICU/Pediatric Intensive Care experience — required
Weekend Requirement:Every 4th weekend per the detailed requirements; the shift listing also specifies Fri/Sat/Sun nights
Call:Minimal / as needed
Certifications:AHA BLS + AHA PALS required
Unit:12-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit with private rooms, caring for critically ill or injured infants, children, and teens
Preferred Skills:Ventilator and high-flow experience, plus Alaris IV pumps and feeding pumps
License:Iowa RN license or Compact/Multistate license required at submission
Radius Rule:No locals — candidate must live at least 50 miles from the facility, verified by driver’s license
Holiday: Must work 1–2 of the 3 applicable holidays unless the unit is closed
Orientation: Available dates include 10/26, 11/9, 11/23, and 12/7
