Registered Nurse (RN) - Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care for critically ill children and participate in collaborative care processes within a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive care to pediatric patients in the intensive care setting.
• Participate in patient assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
• Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and provide necessary interventions.
• Work rotating shifts, including nights and days, across full-time 12-hour shifts.
• Float to NICU and Acute Care Pediatrics as required based on staffing needs.
• Assist in maintaining a safe and effective environment for patients and staff.
• Engage in continuing education and professional development opportunities.
• Support and guide nursing students and new staff members as needed.

Scheduling Requirements

• Contract duration of 13 weeks.
• Work a minimum of two out of three winter holidays.
• Available for three weekends within a six-week schedule.
• First two weeks of the contract are subject to no time off approval.
• Request for time off may be approved up to 40 hours.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• BLS and PALS certifications are required.
• Pediatric cardiac experience is a plus.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
