Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced PICU RN for a 13-week seasonal night shift assignment requiring at least one year of recent PICU experience and current PALS certification.

Details

  • 20-bed PICU with 51 staff members
  • Day shift staffing includes 1 charge RN, 9 bedside RNs, and 1 PCT; night shift includes 1 charge RN and 9 bedside RNs
  • Patient ratios of 1:2 and 1:1
  • Uses Philips monitors, Alaris and Medfusion IV pumps
  • Meditech EMR
  • 13-week night shift assignment, 7P-7A
  • Weekend requirement of 4 shifts within a 4-week schedule
  • Unit performs conscious sedations, care of respiratory failure (ETT, HFOV), CT placement, and central line maintenance

Requirements

  • Active RN license (CO or compact)
  • BLS and PALS certification required
  • Minimum 1 year of current PICU RN experience required
  • Post-op cardiac experience and venipuncture skills preferred
  • US SSN and DOB required for consideration
  • One professional reference required
  • No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

  • Care for pediatric patients in a high-acuity intensive care environment
  • Ideal candidates are flexible, helpful, and humble team players
  • Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered
