Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care to patients in various pediatric units. This role requires flexibility and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while meeting the needs of the facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients in critical conditions.
• Float between multiple pediatric units, including CVPICU, NICU, and PICU, as needed.
• Administer treatments and medications as prescribed and monitor patient outcomes.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure the best patient care.
• Participate in emergency response as part of assigned teams during critical situations.

Schedule

• Work 3x12-hour shifts, from 7 AM to 7:30 PM, totaling 36 hours per week.
• Weekend requirement: Every other weekend with a holiday rotation.
• Subject to shifts being canceled by the facility, with a guaranteed allowance of one shift cancellation every two weeks.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) nursing.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license in South Carolina or a Multi-State/Compact State RN License.
• Current certifications in BLS and PALS, with acceptance from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Preferred experience in ECMO and CRRT.

Additional Information

Applicants should be aware that during hurricane season (June through November), staff may be assigned to emergency response roles. Consideration for requests for block scheduling is dependent on management approval based on unit needs.

Travel and Local Candidates

Travelers residing within a 60-mile radius of the designated location are welcome. Local candidates will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
