Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional care to pediatric patients in a critical care setting, demonstrating expertise and compassion while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.

Job Responsibilities:

• Deliver quality patient care in various pediatric intensive care units including CVPICU, NICU, and PICU.
• Manage critical care situations and respond appropriately to emergencies.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Float between pediatric units as needed to meet facility requirements.

Shift and Schedule:

This position requires working three 12-hour shifts per week, from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM. The RN will be required to work every other weekend and participate in a holiday rotation. All requests for time off must be submitted upon application for consideration, with approval based on unit needs.

Patient Ratios:

Staffing ratios are typically 1:2 or 1:3, ensuring focused and quality patient care.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 2 years of pediatric ICU experience is required.
• First-time travelers are welcome if they possess the necessary experience.
• Current South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact State RN License is required.
• Certifications in BLS and PALS (only AHA certification accepted) are necessary.
• Experience with ECMO and CRRT is preferred.

Additional Information:

All employees may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June through November). Candidates should be prepared for this possibility.
