Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care in a 16-bed PICU setting within a Level II Trauma Center, managing a diverse pediatric population including respiratory, cardiovascular, surgical, oncology, and trauma patients
  • Perform and maintain aseptic and sterile techniques, basic dressing changes, Foley insertion and management, and discharge planning
  • Manage ventilators, tracheostomies, suctioning, chest tubes, epidurals, PCAs, and drip management including insulin drips
  • Oversee enteral nutrition via G-tube and J-tube, as well as feeding tube management
  • Support CRRT procedures using Prismax following unit-based training (for candidates with prior CRRT experience)
  • Float as needed to MedSurg, ED, or NICU in a Helping Hands or Constant Observer capacity

Required Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Washington
  • Minimum 2 years of PICU or relevant pediatric critical care nursing experience
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required
  • Proficiency in ventilator and trach management, suctioning, chest tubes, epidurals, PCAs, and drip management

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Prior CRRT experience, specifically with the Prismax system
  • Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) experience, particularly with congenital heart defect patients
  • Proficiency with Epic EMR
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
