Registered Nurse – PICU

Location: Lubbock, TX 79410
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Days, 3x12 hours (07:00–19:00)

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of PICU experience
  • BLS and PALS required
  • Epic charting experience required
  • Pediatric critical care experience
  • Patient ratio: 1:2
  • Compact license must be in hand at submission
  • Travel experience not required

Description:

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to neonates, infants, children, and adolescents in an 18-bed PICU, maintaining a 1:2 patient ratio.
  • Manage critically ill pediatric patients requiring ventilator support, BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, IV therapy, central/PICC lines, continuous sedation, vasopressors, and emergency medications.
  • Monitor and respond to respiratory, neurologic, and cardiovascular conditions, including ABGs, dysrhythmias, hemodynamic status, ICP, and post-cardiac surgery patients.
  • Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, social services, and rapid response teams to provide coordinated patient care.
  • Float may be required to Pediatric Med/Surg and NICU.
