Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00–19:00) | Onsite | Weekends Required (Variable)

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) setting at a Level II Pediatric Trauma Center
  • Maintain a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio in accordance with unit standards
  • Float between units as needed, including Pediatric Med/Surg and NICU
  • Complete self-scheduling for 3 twelve-hour shifts per week, with flexibility to work consecutive or split shifts
  • Commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)

Required Qualifications

  • Active RN license; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
  • Minimum of 1 year of PICU experience required
  • Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible as a standard travel candidate (locals may be considered under separate terms)
  • Must submit all time-off requests and scheduling needs prior to or at the time of submission — post-offer requests may not be considered
  • 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required prior to start (Charge RNs/Leads accepted)
  • Background must be clear of Nursys or background check hits per facility policy

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Experience working in a children's hospital or pediatric specialty environment
  • Familiarity with floating between PICU, Pediatric Med/Surg, and NICU settings
  • Strong adaptability and comfort with self-scheduling in a high-acuity environment
