Description

American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric ICU RN for a 13-week travel assignment requiring 1 year of PICU experience and PALS certification.

Details

• Work in a 9-bed Pediatric ICU within a designated pediatric hospital
• Patient ratios of 1:1-2 in PICU and 1:2-3 in step-down
• Shift runs 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
• Must work 3 weekends within a 6-week schedule
• Float to Pediatrics and NICU as needed
• Uses Alaris pumps for infusion management
• Charting completed in Cerner
• Self-scheduling available
• Unit secretary support available 9 AM-9 PM, tech support shared with adjacent PICU

Requirements

• Active RN license (NC or Compact)
• BLS and PALS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent PICU experience required
• No employment gaps of 90+ days or more within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration (no Canadian SSN accepted)
• One professional reference required

Additional Information

• Perform IV starts, central line dressing changes, hemodynamic monitoring, trach care, tube feeding and placement, ICP monitoring, and ventilator management
• Assist with catheterizations and hold patients for lumbar punctures
• Required dress code: all navy, all white, or navy pants with white tops
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position; no local candidates accepted
