Job Summary:
Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position located in Denver, Colorado. This role involves providing specialized critical care for pediatric patients in a busy unit equipped with advanced monitoring and IV infusion technology. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a skilled team committed to pediatric patient outcomes.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN), current BLS & PALS certifications, at least 1-year current PICU RN experience, located within the state or eligible to practice locally
  • Preferred Qualifications: Postoperative cardiac experience, venous puncture skills
  • Float: Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Additional Information: The PICU unit has 20 beds staffed by 51 team members, including bedside RNs and patient care technicians. Equipment used includes Philip monitors, Alaris, and Medfusion IV pumps. Typical procedures include conscious sedations, respiratory failure care, and central line maintenance. The unit values flexibility, helpfulness, and humility among staff, with opportunities to work with new equipment and technologies.
