Pediatric Pre Post Op Registered Nurse

Unit Overview

The Pediatric PeriAnesthesia Unit is a specialized unit designed for the preoperative and postoperative care of pediatric patients. It features:

  • A 10-bed pediatric preoperative and postoperative unit
  • An additional 4-bed Pediatric Surgical Observation Unit (PSOU) for extended recovery care

Job Details

This position involves providing comprehensive care to pediatric patients requiring pre- and post-surgical support, including overnight observation or extended recovery (up to 23 hours) after surgery.

  • Contract Duration: 13 weeks
  • Shift: Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:30)
  • Schedule: Every other weekend, every other holiday

Qualifications

  • ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications are required.
  • VA nursing license is acceptable if pending.
  • Must adhere to the 50-mile radius rule for this position.
