Job Summary
Operating Room Pediatrics Only (OR PEDS) specialist position located in Madison, Wisconsin. This role involves providing highly specialized pediatric surgical care in a Magnet-designated facility that features a Level One Pediatric Trauma Center and a Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The position requires a dedicated professional with pediatric trauma and ambulatory surgery experience, responsible for performing a range of surgical procedures and supporting clinical operations.
Job Details
- Certifications: BLS, PALS*; Wisconsin RN or compact RN License
- Education: Not specified
- Years of Experience: 2 years of acute care RN experience within the last 3 years in the specialty submitted to
- Location Requirements: Madison, WI; Local candidates not acceptedmust reside at least 50 miles away from the facility
- Schedule: 10-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, 0700 to 1730, with on-call responsibilities one night per week, every 6-8 weekends, and during holidays; minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Pediatric trauma experience, ambulatory surgery experience, and proficiency in a wide range of surgical procedures including ENT, orthopedic, nephrectomy, thoracic, and cranial surgeries; experience with cardiac interpretation review courses and passing strict telemetry exams is required to qualify
- Additional Information: Positions involve critical surgical procedures in a pediatric setting. Pass/fail cardiac interpretation exams are required with attempts detailed in the candidate submission process.
- Submittal Requirements: Complete certification and skills documentation, with proof of passing telemetry exams, prior to start date.
