Job Summary:
Pediatric Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse (RN) position available at a healthcare organization in Norfolk, VA. This role involves providing specialized nursing care within the Pediatric Operating Room, responding to patient needs, and ensuring compliance with clinical standards. The position is designed for qualified RNs with recent OR experience seeking a 13-week assignment starting in October 2026.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Current state license as an RN or valid compact state license; ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support); BLS (Basic Life Support); PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support); recent OR experience (minimum of 3 years preferred); CPR certification.
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in pediatric surgery or Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU); ability to scrub or circulate in the OR; willingness to float if cases are insufficient at the ambulatory surgery center.
• Additional Information: The RN will plan, provide, and monitor individualized patient care in the Pediatric OR, responding to specific needs within their scope of practice. This assignment may require floating to other areas if caseload is low at the primary facility. Parking is available; dress code is scrubs. The role is at an outpatient surgery center with an emphasis on pediatric patient care.
