Job Summary
Operating Room Pediatrics (OR PEDS) specialist in a children's acute care hospital. This position involves providing specialized surgical care for pediatric patients in a dynamic environment, with a focus on various surgical specialties including neuro, ortho, plastics, eyes, GU/GI, ENT, general, small GYN, and spine. The role requires adaptability to float within scope across pediatric units as needed.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: Certifications in BLS and PALS, relevant experience in pediatric surgical procedures, and active licenses as required (MO, IL, or compact licenses). A minimum of 2 years of experience in an Operating Room setting is preferred.
- Schedule: 12-hour days, Monday through Friday, from 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Additional Responsibilities: Candidates should be prepared to float within their scope to support all pediatric medical surgical units, including potential float to ICU. The position involves assisting with open to accommodating a block schedule, with no guaranteed hours outside the specified schedule.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with neuro, ortho, and eye surgeries, and familiarity with Epic charting system are beneficial. Candidates experienced in trauma and pediatric cardiovascular or general surgeries are encouraged to apply.
