Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift (3x12 Hours, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide preoperative and postoperative nursing care to pediatric patients in a 10-bed PeriAnesthesia unit
- Deliver specialized postoperative care for pediatric patients in a Surgical Observation setting, including extended recoveries up to 23 hours
- Monitor and assess pediatric patients following surgical procedures, identifying and responding to changes in condition
- Rotate every other weekend and every other holiday as required
- Float within scope of practice to other units as needed per facility policy
Required Qualifications
- Active or pending Registered Nurse (RN) state license (must be in hand prior to start date)
- Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
- Experience with Epic electronic health records system
- Candidate must reside more than 50 miles from the facility (local candidates are not accepted for this unit)
- Must not exceed 365 total assignment days per facility separation policy
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Prior experience in a pediatric PACU or perioperative setting strongly preferred
- Nursys verification on file at time of submission
