Pediatric ER Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking an experienced Pediatric Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong pediatric experience and a commitment to providing exceptional care in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct patient care to pediatric patients in the emergency department.
• Manage patient evaluations, treatments, and follow-ups according to established protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Float to pediatric admission floors as needed and manage high census periods effectively.
• Conduct triage, perform pediatric dosage calculations, and initiate IVs.
• Interpret 12-lead EKGs and cardiac dysrhythmias.

Qualifications:

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in pediatric emergency care.
• ENPC certification required prior to signing.
• BLS, ACLS, NIH, PALS certifications are mandatory.
• Experience with trauma/resuscitation preferred.
• Must have experience in a combined adult/pediatric emergency department or a dedicated pediatric emergency department.
• No local candidates within 100 miles of the facility.
• COVID vaccination required; medical and religious exemptions accepted with appropriate documentation.

Work Schedule:

• Travelers will be scheduled to work weekends as needed.
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week; potential call-offs allowed.

Additional Information:

• Must maintain current certifications throughout the assignment.
• A 6-month break is required after completing four consecutive assignments or reaching the one-year mark.
• OT is available after 48 hours for contracts signed on or after stated date.
• Must be prepared to adapt to varying patient care needs and float within the scope of practice as needed.
