Job Description
Seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department, with strong pediatric emergency nursing experience. The RN will provide safe, timely, patient-centered emergency care, assess patient conditions, prioritize treatment, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced emergency setting.
Responsibilities
- Perform rapid assessments, triage, and ongoing patient monitoring.
- Provide emergency nursing care to pediatric patients.
- Administer medications and treatments and monitor patient responses.
- Recognize changes in patient condition and escalate emergencies promptly.
- Collaborate with physicians and the emergency care team.
- Educate patients and families about treatment and follow-up care.
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow hospital safety standards.
- Support efficient patient flow and quality patient care.
Requirements
- Active New York State RN license.
- BSN required.
- Minimum 2 years of direct Pediatric Emergency Department experience required.
- Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
- NIHSS certification required.
- Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience required for travel positions.
- Epic experience highly preferred.
- Trauma experience preferred.
- TNCC, ENPC, or CEN certifications are a plus.
Important: Candidates must have a BSN and at least 2 years of direct pediatric ED experience. Ensure all required certifications are current before submission.
