HealthTrust Workforce Solutions HCA is seeking a travel nurse RN Pediatrics ER - Emergency Room for a travel nursing job in San Antonio, Texas.

- Guaranteed Hours: 36
- Special Skills/Experience required: 2 years +

Unit Specifics -Information below is requested for better sourcing:
- 3Number of Beds : 36 plus 2 trauma rooms
- Patient Ratios : 3:1
- Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) : Unit clerk, Pharmacist, Tech, Midlevel providers and Physicians
- Type of equipment : standard ER equipment specific for Pedi management
- Documentation system: Meditech
- Scheduling requirements: 3-12 hour shifts
- Floating policy: first to float to ED holds or inpatient as needed
- Patient Experience requirements: high quality care
Must have: (candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role)
- BLS
- PALS or ENPC
- TNCC
- At least 2+ YEARS of ED Experience
- Skill set in working in a pediatric environment
Preferred Skills/Advanced Skills Needed: (candidates with these skills will be considered first)
- Leadership Skills – Charge Nurse or Nursing educator
- Accessing and performing care and interventions on all pediatric patients
- Meditech Experience Preferred
Procedures performed on unit:
- IV’s
- In and out Caths
- Medication Reconciliation
