Job Opportunity – Pediatric PACU Registered Nurse – Wisconsin
Start Date: October 12, 2026
Location: Madison, Wisconsin
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Evening/Night shifts with 8, 10, or 12-hour options. Shifts include 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM or 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM with flexibility. Monday through Friday OR Sunday through Thursday with no on-call requirements. Weekend and holiday call coverage as needed.

- Work in a comprehensive pediatric medical and surgical center with nationally recognized specialists
- Manage peri-anesthetic care for complex, varied surgical and procedural inpatient/outpatient pediatric populations
- Epic charting system utilized throughout the facility
- Level One Pediatric Trauma Center with interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
- 24 hours of orientation provided; daily census averages 25 patients
- Work in a Magnet-designated facility with a state-of-the-art healing environment designed for pediatric patients and families
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of pediatric PACU experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Wisconsin RN license or compact state RN license
- BLS and PALS certifications (AHA only)
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Must successfully pass telemetry examination prior to start date with strict passing criteria (80% or higher; 100% identification of lethal rhythms)
- Phase I PACU experience essential; Phase II Recovery experience preferred
- Charge nurse experience preferred
- Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
- Must reside 50+ miles from facility (local candidates not accepted)
