Description: This is a travel position for a Pediatric CVOR RN. The unit is focused on providing care for pediatric patients in a cardiovascular operating room setting. There are 8 operating rooms available for procedures. The staff consists of 25 team members including Charge RNs, RNs, CSTs, and anesthesia providers. The hours of operation are from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Patient ratios are typically 1:1, although this is an estimate and not guaranteed. The equipment used includes Belmont Rapid Fusion and the EMR system is Meditech/CPN. The ideal candidate will have experience managing the operating room and assisting surgeons. Candidates must monitor vital signs and provide pre- and post-operative care. Good teamwork is essential in this role. Prior patient care experience is a priority. Effective communication with staff and providers is necessary. Candidates with additional pediatric and CVOR/cardiac experience will be given preference. The unit also performs a variety of procedures including orthopedic, ENT, urology, spine, general, GYN, endoscopy, plastics, and cardiac.
