Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Pediatric PACU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of Pediatric PACU experience required. Experience with both Pre-OP and PACU is required. Preferred experience with tracheostomies and phlebotomy is a plus. License: Active California RN license required. Certifications: ACLS BLS PALS Must-Have: Ability to float between Pre-OP and PACU. Willingness to take call shifts. Description: The position requires a registered nurse specializing in Pediatric PACU. The start time will vary between 05:30 and 07:30. The nurse will be responsible for providing care to pediatric patients aged 0-25 years. Experience in handling a high volume of cases is necessary. Knowledge of inpatient and outpatient care guidelines is essential. The nurse will manage both pre-operative and post-operative patients. The role includes handling patients with tracheostomies, vents, and G-tubes, although routine management of intubated patients is not required. Candidates should be prepared to manage 18 pre-operative and 18 post-operative patients. The work environment supports interdisciplinary collaboration with various departments. Candidates must be flexible and able to comply with call requirements, arranging 3-4 shifts every 6 weeks.
