Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Profession: Nursing Specialty: Pediatrics Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours (7 p.m. - 7 a.m.) Experience: Minimum of 24 months of Pediatric and/or Oncology experience required. License: Active Iowa or compact multistate nursing license required. Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) Must-Have: Pediatric experience within the last 18 months required. Hematology/Oncology experience highly preferred. Experience with EPIC electronic medical systems within the last 12 months required. Candidates must be willing to float to care for inpatient holds and possibly to NICU/PICU for support. No first-time travelers; must have completed at least one travel contract within the previous 18 months. Description: Quickly interviewing viable candidates. Candidates must be at least 50 miles from the facility based on their driver's license. Employees who have previously worked within the organization cannot work travel in another market for 12 months. If the contractor is required to work, they must work 1-2 of the upcoming summer holidays unless the unit is closed. Patient types include Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, Med Surg, and all Pediatric specialties. Staff may float across units as needed, with ratios of 1:2-4. The bed size is 14. A professional reference from a charge/supervisor/nurse manager/director within the last 24 months is preferred. A driver's license is required. Candidates must submit a skills checklist specific to Pediatrics. AHA certifications in BLS and PALS are required.
