Job Summary:
Pediatric Care Nurse (RN) for a pediatric floor in a healthcare organization. The position involves caring for children with chronic complex conditions, including congenital and genetic disorders, in a step-down setting. The nurse will support patients with trachs, vents, gastro tubes, and other medical needs, working alongside respiratory therapists. This role requires a compassionate approach to long-term pediatric patient care.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 8-hour evening shifts, 40 hours per week, starting 10/12/2026 and ending 01/09/2027.
• Required Qualifications: RN license with pediatric experience, respiratory/vented patient experience strongly preferred. Must have a minimum of 0 years of experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior travel experience is preferred.
• Responsibilities include managing IVs, gastro tubes, trachs, vents, and infusions, following unit-specific procedures and protocols.
• The unit consists of 28 beds and serves children aged 2 months to 18 years with chronic conditions.
• Nurses will not manage ventilators; respiratory therapists handle vent settings and weaning.
• Suctioning and patient care support are part of daily duties.
• Profiles must be complete, accurate, and easy to review; any issues will be sent back for corrections.
