Pediatric Travel RN Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,200–$2,320

• Float Expectations: May float to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, and Continuing Care Nursery

Pediatric Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license eligible for practice in Massachusetts
• At least 2 years of pediatric nursing experience
• Experience caring for pediatric patients in an inpatient or acute care setting
• Ability to provide safe, compassionate nursing care across a broad range of pediatric diagnoses and acuity levels
• Strong patient assessment, communication, teamwork, and clinical decision-making skills
• Willingness to float to designated pediatric and neonatal specialty units as needed

Pediatric RN Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients from the neonatal period through age 21
• Assess patient conditions, identify changes in status, and implement individualized nursing plans of care
• Care for patients with medical, surgical, oncology, trauma, orthopedic, and behavioral health diagnoses
• Administer medications and treatments safely while monitoring patient responses
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, families, and the multidisciplinary care team
• Educate patients and caregivers regarding treatments, medications, safety, and discharge planning
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and support continuity of care
• Adapt to changing patient needs and float to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, or Continuing Care Nursery when required
