Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in the applicable state or a compact license in hand at submission
• At least 1 year of pediatric nursing experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• PALS required
• ACLS and BLS required
• Experience with Epic charting required
• Strong background in ambulatory/outpatient, pre-op, PACU, and post-anesthesia recovery care preferred
• Ability to care for pediatric patients undergoing a variety of surgical procedures
• Must be comfortable with a fast-paced surgical environment and occasional floating as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to pediatric patients in pre-operative, PACU, and post-operative settings
• Monitor recovery, assess pain, and support post-anesthesia stabilization
• Collaborate with anesthesia, surgical, and interdisciplinary teams to support excellent patient outcomes
• Care for pediatric patients across a range of specialties, including orthopedics, general surgery, ENT, urology, plastics, dental, oral maxillofacial, endoscopy, ophthalmology, and NICU-related procedures
• Maintain clear, accurate documentation in Epic
• Deliver family-centered care with professionalism, empathy, and attention to detail
• Adapt to changing patient needs and support smooth workflow in a pediatric surgical environment
