• Setting: Pediatric critical care float pool supporting multiple specialty units
• Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) assignment
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: October 12, 2026
• Shift Duration: 12-hour day shifts
• Hours Per Week: 36 hours
• Schedule: Every other weekend and every other holiday
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020–$2,130
• Orientation: 60 hours
• Location: Charlottesville, Virginia
• Work Environment: On-site, high-acuity pediatric float pool

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; pending Virginia RN license accepted if obtained before the required start deadline
• At least 2 years of PICU nursing experience required
• NICU experience or prior pediatric float pool experience strongly preferred
• Comfortable floating across PICU, NICU, acute pediatrics, Pediatric ED, and occasionally L&D/Mother-Baby as needed
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP required
• Infant-Driven Feeding Certificate required or submitted pending completion before start
• Epic EMR experience required
• Travel nurse experience required
• BSN preferred

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate pediatric nursing care for neonates, infants, children, and adolescents in high-acuity settings
• Provide coverage across multiple pediatric units based on staffing needs and patient acuity
• Support patients requiring ventilator management, vasoactive infusions, hemodynamic monitoring, and other advanced therapies
• Assist with neonatal resuscitation, high-risk deliveries, and complex pediatric care needs when assigned
• Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapy, and interdisciplinary team members to support individualized care plans
• Adapt quickly to changing patient assignments while maintaining excellent clinical judgment and accurate documentation in Epic
