• Position: Pediatric RN Travel Nurse
• Setting: Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool
• Location: Charlottesville, VA (22908) — a scenic and welcoming area known for its historic charm, vibrant local culture, and access to the beautiful Blue Ridge region.
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: 09/14/2026
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Schedule: Every other weekend and every other holiday
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,020 - $2,130
• Charting System: Epic experience required

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of PICU experience required
• Experience in NICU, pediatric acute care, or pediatric emergency settings strongly preferred
• Current RN license required; pending Virginia license may be accepted if obtained by the required start deadline
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP required
• Infant-Driven Feeding Certificate required; may be submitted pending
• Epic charting experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• BSN preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care for pediatric, neonatal, and adolescent patients in a dynamic float pool environment
• Float to PICU, NICU, pediatric emergency, acute pediatrics, and occasionally L&D or Mother/Baby as needed
• Deliver high-quality care for patients with complex medical, surgical, respiratory, neurological, and cardiac needs
• Monitor and respond to changes in patient condition while collaborating closely with interdisciplinary care teams
• Support safe medication administration, procedures, and advanced monitoring based on patient acuity
• Adapt quickly to changing patient assignments while maintaining excellent communication and teamwork
• Follow float policies and unit protocols to help ensure strong patient outcomes and a smooth care experience
