• Schedule: Every other weekend and every other holiday
• Floating: Required across pediatric care areas based on patient need and staffing
• Charting System: Epic experience required

Job Requirements

• 2 years of Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) experience required
• Must be comfortable floating to NICU, Acute Pediatrics, Pediatric ED, and occasionally L&D/Mother-Baby when needed
• Current BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Infant-Driven Feeding Certificate required; pending submission may be considered
• Epic electronic health record (EHR) charting experience required
• Virginia RN license may be pending at time of submission, but must be active before the start date
• Travel nursing experience required
• BSN preferred
• Must be able to provide references and complete required compliance items before start

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality pediatric nursing care to infants, children, and adolescents with varying levels of acuity
• Provide care in pediatric intensive care, neonatal care, acute pediatrics, and pediatric emergency settings as assigned
• Support high-risk deliveries and provide neonatal resuscitation when caring for NICU patients
• Monitor and manage patients requiring ventilatory support, hemodynamic monitoring, vasoactive infusions, and advanced therapies
• Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapy, child life, and other interdisciplinary healthcare team members
• Adapt quickly to changing patient needs while maintaining safety, compassion, and excellent clinical judgment
• Follow float pool policies and contribute as a reliable team member across multiple pediatric units
