Description: This position is specifically for winter coverage for a 10-week contract. Local radius restrictions are waived for the duration of the assignment. Must start by December 18, 2026. No holiday requests off are allowed. No more than 5 days off will be considered. Pediatric Stepdown experience is preferred. The average nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4. First-time travelers are accepted, but travel experience is strongly preferred. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend. The facility is a short-term acute care center with a trauma designation. The daily census is approximately 19 patients. The unit cares for pediatric patients with various medical diagnoses including cardiology, endocrine, nephrology, and respiratory illnesses. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, social services, and pharmacy. Additional patient diagnoses include septic workups, febrile seizures, and diabetes management. Candidates must apply for the necessary state license prior to starting.
