Pediatric Travel Nurse Job Details

• Float Expectations: May float to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), and Continuing Care Nursery

Pediatric Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Valid Registered Nurse license eligible for practice in Massachusetts
• At least 2 years of pediatric nursing or pediatric acute care experience
• Current clinical knowledge applicable to inpatient pediatric nursing care
• Ability to provide safe, comprehensive care for patients ranging from the neonatal period through age 21
• Willingness to float to designated pediatric and neonatal care areas as needed

Pediatric Nursing Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive Registered Nurse care to pediatric patients in an inpatient acute care setting.
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions, responses to treatment, and changes in clinical status.
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and other members of the multidisciplinary pediatric healthcare team.
• Support patients and families across a broad range of medical, surgical, oncology, trauma, orthopedic, and behavioral health diagnoses.
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to established nursing standards.
• Float to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, or Continuing Care Nursery when assigned.
• Participate in every-other-weekend and every-other-holiday coverage as scheduled.
